Doing Things

What a freaking month. You really don’t realize how much you do until you look back through your photos (at least for me). This month was packed with so much goodness. The beginning of the month didn’t really have much going on. We got our wedding invitations and sent them out, so that was exciting.

Mid-month is when things really started picking up. I traveled to Rochester, NY with Love Beets for a couple days. I recapped the whole trip here if you want to read about it! After that I flew to Philly and headed to the beach with my family for a week. Michael met me after a few days and it was so nice! Time with family, just hanging out and going out on boat, good food, and fun. Much needed after a busy summer.

The next weekend I headed to California to pick up Cashew! I was super nervous as I had to fly back with him and I had never flown with a pet, let alone a puppy. Lucky for me Cashew is the sweetest boy and pretty much slept the whole time.

That week we celebrated my 30th birthday. We didn’t do much expect I went to a workout, made dinner at home, and had a bunch of puppy snuggles. Totally okay with me.

The rest of the month was low key – my sister flew in and we have just being hanging out and training Cashew and getting some recipes done!

What I am loving

I mean what else what I say besides Cashew?! I mean come on, is he not just the cutest puppy ever?! Okay, I know, I’m biased, but he is also super sweet (besides his puppy bites that actually hurt). I honestly didn’t know how much work a puppy was going to be and I definitely miss my sleep, but I wouldn’t change it. He has brought so much happiness to our lives already and we have only had him two weeks. If I could change one thing, it would be how fast he is growing! I can already see a big difference from when I brought him home!! I now know how parents feel!

Having my sister here! We don’t get to see each other too much, but it’s been so nice having her here to help with Cashew and my business. As I type this, I am trying to convince her to stay a little longer!

That’s it for August! Lots of good stuff coming your way in the next few months. And for September I’m doing a 10,000 a day step challenge! Join the fun on Instagram!
