Sausage Dip

6-ingredient sausage dip with refried beans, green chiles, cheese, and pickled jalapeños. It's super easy to make, ready in 35 minutes, and is always a hit at any party!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound spicy ground sausage (I used chicken sausage, but pork will also work)
  • 1 16-ounce can refried beans (I used fat-free)
  • 1 4-ounce can chopped green chiles
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese (4 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup sweet and spicy pickled jalapeños (75 grams)
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, roughly chopped
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • optional toppings: green onions, hot sauce...
  • for serving: tortilla chips, veggies...

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Brown your sausage. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and let it get hot. Add your sausage, some salt and pepper, and break it up. Sauté for 6-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease from the pan.
  • Assemble dip. Spread refried beans in the bottom of a 7x11 baking dish, creating an even layer. Next add a layer of ground sausage. Top sausage with green chilis, spreading out evenly. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese and melted and warmed through.
  • Top with pickled jalapeños and cilantro.
  • Enjoy!
