1poundspicy ground sausage(I used chicken sausage, but pork will also work)
116-ounce canrefried beans(I used fat-free)
14-ounce canchopped green chiles
1 1/2cupsshredded monterey jack cheese(4 ounces)
1/2cupsweet and spicy pickled jalapeños(75 grams)
1/4cupcilantro, roughly chopped
salt and pepper, to taste
optional toppings: green onions, hot sauce...
for serving: tortilla chips, veggies...
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Brown your sausage. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and let it get hot. Add your sausage, some salt and pepper, and break it up. Sauté for 6-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease from the pan.
Assemble dip. Spread refried beans in the bottom of a 7x11 baking dish, creating an even layer. Next add a layer of ground sausage. Top sausage with green chilis, spreading out evenly. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese and melted and warmed through.
